EXEDY TWIN HD barks at me!!!
I also get the bark but I don't think that's uncommon or much of a problem.
My car does not seem to do it anymore now that the clutch is broken in. Tilton is a fairly Stout clutch and from what I have heard can be a total terror on the street to drive... My clutch feels VERY VERY street-able and almost like stock except the pressure plate is harder that is about it. It will slip very nice if you ask it to or it will totally kick your *** if you want that too.

Hmm what would the wife say?
You know for the amount of money spent on purchasing this clutch and having it installed I can't believe the sounds being emitted by the clutch. I have the same issue in first gear as all of you, but I have another issue as well with the Exedy Twin, when you down shift to decelerate, I get the initial chewbacca growl. This is really annoying when you have people ride with you, be it, the Evo is by far not the most docile car when it comes to cabin noises....but there are some sounds that even non-EVO fans recognize as not part of what the EVO normally sounds like. So to me this comes across as a problem that needs to be resolved. If Wicked Whites findings about improper install is what caused the same noise we are all experiencing, how many of us have made sure we don't fall into the same category??
They say a picture is a worth a thousand words, below are the images (courtesy Wicked White) of the misplacement of the intermediate clutch plate, disallowing the flat springs to assist in disengagement . Now for those who are saying this is normal for a clutch that cost almost $2K, let alone the installation price, I think you might want to reconsider what is being called normal break in noise.

Anyone who hears this sound is riding their clutch.. get ready to go 25K miles then rebuild
You have to take your foot off the clutch with "side step like" speed, especially in first

I think what you are saying is, give it some gas by blipping the throttle, then let the clutch all the way out, instead of slipping it right?
