You have to take your foot off the clutch with "side step like" speed, especially in first

Ya only if you dont want a smooth take off or u wana stall the car.

Got mine done last week. No chirping/barking of any sorts. Super quiet and yes my shifting feels much better now. Not sure if the stock clutch was getting sloppy or what.

Mine was quiet until after break-in. I have the bark too in my HD. John Shepard said it was normal, so I stopped thinking about it.

So the misalignment is causing the disengagement problems, or the barking? Mine barks, but engages fine.

It barks after break in. I'm not worried about it to be honest.

Also, anyone else notice the first time you drove the Evo after the clutch was installed how springy the clutch pedal was and how easy it was to almost stall it? Now it's broken it, the pedal isn't as springy and not as easy to want to stall.

Thats good news. I stalled it out the first time, but haven't since. But it certainly lets go really quickly.

That's exactly correct.

I think once you modify your Evo to handle power, such that you need a twin or triple disk, little noises are to be expected.

As long as no one is having issues with the clutch holding power or operating correctly and many people are indicating they hear the same thing or experience the same results - I wouldn't worry.

The very first time I drove the car home after the clutch install, damn I had to be on it as the clutch grabbed like a ****. I did not stall it, but I came close hah!

Agreed. I also dont think that everyone who hears this sound is not riding their clutch. I have the same exact "whale bark" noise and have heard other evos make it too. Therefore, I am not worried about it.

Seems pretty common to me. Maybe some more qualified can comment on it further.

i think everyones does it. mine does it as well.

mine seems to always change engagement points as well. pita to drive on a daily basis. when this clutch dies, i will go back to a single disk.
