transmission problem..... i think?

maybe its the clutch and/or transmission? put in a new 'stock' clutch in about 3-4 months ago, but anyway no boost in 1 and 2 gear and 2-step launch. i think its the clutch but the real problem is 2 gear. while driving i would have it in 2gear and with just a touch of gas, the shift knob would kick me back to neutral (funny). 1,3,4, and 5 gear work fine except no boost with 1st. has this happen to anyone one or know how to treat this 'kicking me back to neutral thing'. it could be something simple, i don't know. i was planning on rebuilding tha tranny and new clutch. any help would be greatly appreciate. btw, its an 03evo with minor mods, intake, tbe, cams, mbc, 22psi on pump

Iy sounds exactly what your said its popping out of gear could be the presure plate was on bolted down tight? I wouold also checj the linkage arm on the tranny and make sure nothing is bumping into it when you are driving. They are not that stiff and if are accelerating maybe pushing on it.

No problem, but just double check everthing before you get another clutch. Also if your modded we are you running the stock clutch?

your tranny is fine, I would check linkage and if you're getting new clutch make sure you align it. I run ACT on mine for couple of months now and no problem.

Thanx the pass was on the stock 8 turbo with the 10.5 hotside. The ACT is the best IMO I loved it.

ok so mine just started popping out in 4th and 4th only. the only way to keep it from popping out is when shifting from 3rd to 4th i let the rev's come back down and let the clutch out with out hitting the gas but once i let the clutch all the way out i can mash the gas and it pulls like it always has. could this be the trans going bad or a bad synchro??????
