I've searched with no luck on finding an answer to this.

I want to buy the HKS kansai carbon airbox but use the apexi intake kit instead.

Does anyone know if it will fit length wise?

Should I use the stock intake pipe or something like a 80mm cusco intake pipe to make this fit?

I have a IX hopefully they fixed the problem with the airbag sensors etc and this airbox will need no trimming at all.

I was looking at the gruppe-m intake but it only clears the stock i/c piping and no other aftermarket piping. The Kansai seems to fit with aftermarket i/c piping.

i have the hks kansai box on my 9
u can use the apexi kit but u will need to modify it a bit i think, i have seen people make it fit.
i use mine with an hks rs intake kit
they have not fixed the problem with the airbag sensors, you still need to do a fair bit of trimming to make it fit. i also needed to trim about the fuse box loom.

my kansai box fit with standard piping, but the top of the box was always marked by the hood vent. a bit annoying.
i have aftermarket piping now which has reduced the problem but its still there
