engine boggin @ full boost???

this morning i punched @ 3rd gear and felt that at full boost (about 3800 rpm's) the car started to bogg back and forth.
I don't think this is a turbo problem because i can feel it spooling good, i think this might be more of an ignition or fuel problem????

anybody?????

See if you can get a fuel pressure gauge on it.. If it is holding boost.. It sounds like it is def a fuel or ignition issue...

how much boost are you running? Do you have a wide band 02 to see if it is getting lean?

im running about 22 - 22.5 lbs of boost.
i just have not had the time to get a new tune for the higher lbs of boost since i got the HKS boost controller. prior to that i was tuned to run about 18-19 lbs of boost.
no wideband!

You've had time to put on an HKS boost controller, but not time to get tuned for running an extra 3psi? You'll be lucky if you haven't damaged something in your motor.

Anyway, your description makes no sense. You need to explain it WAY better, because the engine can't "bog back and forth" when boosting. That's not even what bogging means. Please give us a detailed description of exactly what happens, at what boost, at what rpm, for how long, what noises it makes, which gears, etc etc.

betcha its seeing some knock now, and going back and forth between the low/high octane maps.

Turn the boost down to stock levels, and see what it does.

+1 turn down the boost. Had a similar issue when I tightened up all my IC pipes. I was suddenly running an extra 2 PSI and it would feel like it was bogging at full boost. I turned my boost down to the correct setting and the problem was gone.

Im going to guess its probably knocking and pulling timing which will make the car feel like it lost power....and as the knock decreases and timing is added back in it starts to feel like it picks back up.
