Reasonable rate for a cam swap job?

Wondering what a decent shop charges to swap cams? I can turn a wrench, but swapping cams might be out of my league.

It shouldn't take a good shop more than an hour and a half to two hours plus whatever rate for tuning.

Between $70-90ish. I'd say look for some sort of special. Like cams + labor + tuning for $1000 or something. We usually charge around $960 for all that together so expect that.

I'd charge about $300 to do cams.

we bill out around $250-280 for labor alone to install cams. this is what book time calls for and if you install them the right way this is how long it takes.

slipping the belt off the cam gears and slipping it back on is not the right way to do it with the type of tensioner the Evo uses.

I can do cams in 1.5 hours. Most shops try to charge around $300, I would not pay more than $200.
