Super AFC-II question

I'm really new to all of this. is the Super AFC-II from Apexi just used to Monitor fuel use and gives you the ability to change it ? What I mean is, there is a way with this I could actually change the mpg I get in City / hwy or does that have nothing to do with it? I just guess I don't really understand this product could someone explain in small words I'll be sure to understand lol sorry to be so dumb

you are just able to adjust the air fuel ratio with the s afc2. If you have a avcr boost controller then you can adjust your boost and make it boost less than stock so I guess you can change mpg by not boostin so much. Don't worry your not dumb, 3 months from now people will be asking you!

Actually changing the boost isn't going to add MPG necessarily. I've installed a boost controller in hopes of doing this and i've picked up at best 1-2 mpg. But then again I installed mine mainly to stop the stock knock on pump gas. If you have a fuel controller you CAN increase ur gas mileage by leaning out your mixture however I highly suggest this not be your motive for a fuel controller. A fuel controllers intent is to "tune" the vehicle's AF readings. You can cause serious harm to your motor if you do not know what you're doing. Good luck, if you'd like to increase mileage add an intake, exhaust and such so the motor/turbo is working less to propell the vehicle.

like a custom Stainless steel 3" Catback? and a Cold air Intake? How much you think that will increase my MPG?

its really hard to jsut give a flat answer... I mean there are many factors that will have an affect on it. Maybe it would be easier to jsut ask what kind of mileage are you looking for in town, and on highway...? What kind of driving do you use?

PS running the wrong octane either too high or too low can cause bad affects to your MPG... running a tank of 96-98 octane is so not needed for the street lol...

I'm running 93 the best I can get.... I do mostly City driving.. I was told by AMS that adding a SAFC 2 and a manual boost control I could just lower the PSI to 10 or something and that would save alot of gas.
