How to fix glove box scratches?

My glove box has two nice scratches from the old "propane bottle in the lap" trick. Can anyone recommend the proper "stuff" to restore the plastic. The scratches are not deep, more like narrow scuffs. Thanks in advance. I did a search on scratch plastic and could not find a specific fix, then did a search on plastic and got Avogadro’s number of hits.

Yes. We had family over and decided to cook out yesterday. Of course 3 minutes into cooking the meat, the propane tank went empty. So....... I needed to get a new bottle and 3 other people wanted to ride in an EVO. If your going to give 3 people their first ride in an EVO, placing an empty 20lb propane tank in the trunk is a bad idea. So the passenger riding shotgun "squeezed in" with the propane bottle in his lap. The bottle scraped the glovebox!

Well, one thing I know NOT to use to fix the scratch...paint thinner...it'll get rid of the scratch, but chances are, your glove box won't be so black anymore...

o and btw, WHITE EVOs ROCK
