2.3+HTA35R+FR twinscroll?

Has anyone thought of this combo? Any ideas as to what kind of effective powerband could be had with this?

I thought of this already, but I'm too far along to spend the money it would take just to buy a TS header. I have the 2.3+HTA35r but the full race TS header cost too much when I already have an AMS unit that works fine. Maybe if I didn't have an AMS kit already it would be the way to go. Maybe in the far future. I'll get AEM EMS before a TS header set-up.

I'm waiting on an exhaust housing to come in the mail, and then I'm going to send it off to be coated before I put the turbo on the car. So it'll be at least two weeks before I have the turbo on the car. I've got the shipping blues.

Sorry guys, but do we even have any definitive results yet on the HTA 35r?? I don't know why people are praising it so much when I still have yet to see some real data on it. If there is, by all means let me know and I'll apologize in advance for posting this.

I see that David has had some great results on his car but have yet to see anyone else's results. I am looking forward to seeing them though.

The LT1. It's a BB T-76, 383. I'm still bringing it up, but it'll be around 750 to the wheels with LT1 heads\intake. Later on I'll go with ported AFR 227s with a ported LT4 intake and go for broke (hopefully1100 rwhp). That way when someone beats the evo I'll drop the V8 on them. The funniest thing about the camaro is that noone around knows about it. They think I'm all about imports. I love cars!

That's awesome! I would love to have both at the same time, but that won't be happening anytime soon.

This came up before, it's not possible, or at least very unlikely since it would be a custom job.

The Garrett housing would work but since they're so rare your not going to find one.

The Turbonetics housing that's used on Full Race's TS35R is a T4 housing and wont work with a T3 center section. The Garrett housing is a T3 housing with a T4 flange, which as I said, would work but availability is the issue.

Not quite sure what you mean by Garrett housing rare ? Do you mean the Garrett GT35 T3 flanged housings ?

I'm sorry people but I think the right description of a turbine housing is what family of turbine it was intended to have . The flange size is not a good indicator of what a tubine housing is . For example HKS have T28 flanged GT30 housings and some T4 housings can be T3/T4/T4 International flange pattern . There are also housings that look for all the world like a twin scroll T3 flanged T4 housing but with the larger T4 twin scroll flange and stud hole spacing . Heaps of variation - thanks Garrett .

No, it's a 1.06a/r twin scroll T3 housing with a T4 flange.

That's the rare housing I'm talking about.

That's the housing you would need to make a twin scroll HTA 35r.

The Turbonetics housing wont work because it's a true T4 housing and wont work with a T3 center section without some custom work.

*edit*

Here is the thread that explains what I'm talking about; https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=286435

Post #38 explains what I'm trying to say.

Yep , with you now - thats the farmer brown housing . You'd laugh your *** off if you knew which turbine was native to it and no don't ask .
You could possibly redrill it and stick it on a split T3 flanged manifold but you have to find one first , being a dated OEM special there were never many floating about .

As for the "T4" Turbonetics housing - if its what I think it is there's absolutely nothing GT35 turbine about it .

ATP sells both T3 and T4 TS housings. Why couldn't you just buy the FR manifold, HTA 35R, and ATP hotside to put it together. On a 2.3ltr I see this being the utimate setup.
