Axel possibly going out?

Front drivers side possibly. When i make any sort of left turn just barley moving like pulling into a driveway making a sorta popping noise/clicking noise. Now if i increase speed when turning the wheel to the left it does not do it. Also if im driving straight and am at a very low speed going over some bumps it does the same thing. Now if i increase speed and drive straight over bumps it dont do it. It just started out of the blue doing this. IT happended when we got done with my brake job. I went under the car checked everything out everything seemed to be fine. My boot on either side of the axel isnt ripped open and no grease around anywhere. Any suggestions???

Did you remove anything when you worked on your brakes?

Nope just the normal things you would do. I did pads and rotors. i checked over everything and all bolts and such are tight and are in the right place.

I checked them on the drivers side last week and couldnt see anything out of the ordinary. Im goin to pull the wheel off again Sunday and get up under there to just make sure. When i checked last weekend couldnt find any tears on either boot or no grease around the axel or around anywhere else.

I have the same issue, however it only happens when in first gear and when i turn to the right (not noticeable at high speed). It sounds like a knocking noise as if the axle was not seated properly. I've never had this issue in any other car and I don't think I should have this so early since my car has no mods and only 8000 miles (don't even really get on the gas anymore because of a speeding ticket and corrupt cops here).

I think I'm going to get rid of this car because it lacks the build quality that my RSX had and also there are lots of interior noises beside the knocking of the axle or whatever it might be. The only good thing about my EVO MR is the sprinting speed.

I probably should get this check out at the stealer-ship and hopefully they will stand by their 10yr/100mile warranty. But knowing how my last experience went I REALLY DOUBT THIS.

Anyhow, hope you fix your problem.

Sounds like the cv joint. Chances are one of the boots are ripped. I had this problem in my daily driver. Changed the axle and viola!!! good to go!

How many miles does your car have?

Is your car lowered?

Most likely has something to do with axle but could be related to recent brake job. Usually things like this are related to the most recent work done- Good luck

sounds like my cv shaft when mine went bad. if you didnt loosen your axle nut then you can rule out that it isnt tightened enough. I changed my cv and sound gone.
