Max RPM rev limit??!!
hi guys..
i am planning on running a bigger turbo on the stock block..something like a 3065.. at around 24~25 psi..
since this is going to be a little laggy..i am thinkin of raising my rev limit a bit more..i have done the following to the head:
GSC S1 cams
Supertech Single titanium springs and retainers
ARP head bolts
i have everyother bolt-on mod i could think off...
so..what should i set my rev limiter to?? 8500??
Thanks in advance

Hey I use to go all the way to 8k and the last couple of passes to 8200rpm to avoid shifting to 5th and it did not make much of a difference I still didn't make it to the end of the track before the fuel cut off
, can't blame everything on the high revs but it was part of the reason why I now have a stroker
honestly like vwjeff suggested don't go past 7800rpm I had a 35r and wanted to stay in the power band you won't need to go that high with your turbo

every 1/4 mile run that i have ever logged of my car, RPMS peaked 8100. i'm running GSC 272s with stock valvetrain
personally, i wouldn't recommend revving up that high with stock rod bolts.
i would say keep it under 8000, until you upgrade those rod bolts.
