You better get some sort of failsafe for your meth kit or buyt a meth kit with a built in failsafe.

You can normally see some kind of sign during the tear down to indicate meth induced death. What went on your block exactly?

I agree, i just didn't want to push the subject too much because it sounds like he built his base around a 35R. If you wanted to build a really fun car with a stroker you do a 50trim at 23 or 24 PSI and talk about a f*in blast to drive!

I run pump gas for the time beeing. My goal is eventually to get in the 600 club.

do you mean you want to hit the dyno, lay down 600hp, frame the graph and turn it down, or do you mean you want to run a 600hp build?

you always want to go race gas when you can for power bro. Problem is that we'd all have to mortgage our belongings to afford the fuel.

I know some people are horrified of meth but a PROPERLY installed kit, configured correctly with a failsafe is a blast!

If i may, let me go off on a rant really quick..... There are a ton of people that fear meth and i can understand why. Some people try to use meth as an alternative for race gas or something and that just simply doesn't work. It's great as an add on to a setup to maximize a street setup. Hell a lot of shops stopped dealing with injection kits because they keep catching the blame for people blowing their **** up.

One of the biggest problems we have seen have been install related! If I could only show you some of the things we've seen! I have seen holes drilled way to big, nozzles placed in the holes and sealed with hot blue, or PUTTY! wtf is that about? Then we see people that try getting creative and end up with kinks in the line and stuff. You can't possibly expect an injection system to work with something like that going on.

880's will be fine, especially on meth. 30 psi is a good round number for boost for everyday driving.

yes you can exceed the stock MAF. Even without exceeding it you can get to the point where you really need the AEM to clean it all up.

You still should be able to get 500-540ish on the stock MAF/ECU.

I check my meth kit when the motor went and everything is still functioning correctly so i dont know if 485 was just too much 4 the bottom end or maybe the meth blew me up. Im in between a rock and a hard place. My question is should i keep the meth now that i built the stroker and the head?

What dyno did you dyno on? A friend of mine tuned his 2.0 with a 35R and ran out of injtr around 27-28 psi. That's when I knew I had to go to straight to 1000cc. How much boost did you run to get 485?

I'd keep the meth and build a 2.3 and the head. Just take your time if you can't build it all, because you'll still need to build the tranny and get a good clutch.

I have the stroker, head, and i already have the exedy twin hd clutch. My dilema is to keep the meth or not. If i tune it for 110 it should surely reach the limits of the stock maf. But if u guys think the meth can hit the limits(500)ish then ill tune it for that because it will be cheaper. I dont know if i should steer clear of the meth all together or what cause i really dont want to buy ANOTHER motor. When I had the car before 485@27psi on the stock btm end it was a street terror. I dont want to just flash it for straight 93 after building the whole motor only to dyno less and have a slower car. Should i be afraid of the ams meth inj. kit?
