Idle Issues With Intake

hey guys i have a 2006 evo IX with downpipe and a cutout on it (also cams but the issue happend w/out cams) and every time i put a intake on it at idle the rpms dip and the car seems like it wants to die does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?? oh and ive had a few intakes arc, injen, and currently have HKS

Are you running a VTA BOV or are you recirculating?

get a tune man! this is foolish! your ecu is tryin but, it just can't keep up!!!

I know tunes are alot of paper but, its worth it!!!

Intakes change the amount of air going through the MAF and the way the MAF reads. You get an intake you need a new tune.

He already stated that the car has a tune. To the OP; if you haven't, try driving the car for 5 miles to give the ecu a chance to learn the intake. After my tune, my car takes roughly 5 minutes to adapt to my aps bov.

I have the HKS RS Reloaded intake in my car and its running pretty well.I need a tune though.Just wanted to get some more parts before the tune.

drove the car for like a week and still does the same the car was tune twice with the intake on once without cams once with cams could it possiably be the MAF is bad at all??

Ok well get a re tune!! every time you change air or fuel OR timing (cams) you need a tune! Thats it!

`if your tuner left your car staling than hes a BOOT!! witch means he sucks and, needs a new trade. get a tune!

lol it was tuned at ams sooo i dont think its the tune it doesnt stall it the idle juss dips a couple hundred rpms or so at idle they said that it might be a problem with the maf....on my maf the honeycomb is a lil messed up on not like terribly bad but could that be the problem???
