Exhaust manifold....:(

hey guys...while working on my car i noticed that my Toda tubular exhaust manifold that been on my car for the past year (20,000kms) is leaking at the weld in one spot..nothing major...

now i dont trust it anymore and i hate the feeling of knowing that a part in my car could break at anytime...anyways i am ditching the stock turbo soon for a bigger turbo...

so was wondering if i should take it off, weld it and put it back on or just take it off and put the stocker back on..

i have a ported head/intake manifold/O2 housing and every other bolt on possible...

what do you guys suggest??

thanks

Send your Stock Exhaust Manifold to PPI for some extreme porting...when you get it back...swap out the cracked with the ported stocker. Post up results once complete. Ship out stocker Friday, Receive ported Wednesday or so and install same day or later...

By next saturday you should be : ) ...again

fixing it isnt a big deal either though, I agree ported is good too, but if you have it then put the stocker on and have a good place fix and reweld it. my 2 cents

porting the stocker is out of the equation...
i can only either weld it and put it back on...or ditch it and run the stocker back

If you're are getting a bigger turbo soon you are going to need a different exhaust manifold anyway, right? So why not just throw on the stocker til then?

If you're going with a stock manifold that'd be a good option. It's a pre-ported new cast manifold. Cheap and new so reliability won't be an issue until you're ready to upgrade.
