Perrin Cat delete installed

Just finished installing the Perrin Cat Delete pipe. The pipe is pretty nice looking off that car and it comes with the O2 simulator even.

So far ONLY the pipe has been installed, after a full warm up and 5min drive no CEL has been triggered. And the O2 simulator has NOT been installed yet, so I'm not sure if this is needed. I've done some searches on other test pipes and seems like others do not need this simulator either. But if the light does come on evenutally then we'll install the simulator and see if that works (read another thread where it does not seem to work)Anyways...

Exhaust tone: Sounds the same, around 5K though I can hear some sucking sound now
Performance: Feels the same (stock exhaust). I'm sure with a full exhaust the gains would be greater, but to the butt dyno gains are nill.

Also the pipe was installed upside down, there is a pretty nice looking Perrin logo on the "top" side of it. (facing top of car in the picture)

Pipe was bought from www.worldoneperformance.com located in Seattle. Jason, one of their workers was a great help and was able to answer all my questions and deliever it to me peronsally (we are close). Currently their website only features WRX parts, but soon they'll have pleny of EVO parts to offer

OK so after a longer drive the CEL light finally came on. We installed the CEL eliminator thing yesterday. After a ECU reset it worked fine. Then today I was driving around and it came on again! Grrr! I know its wired correctly.

I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow and find out whats up . Can't stand looking at the light, plus then I won't know if something else is really wrong. If all else fails I'll just install this pipe on my other car that doesn't have to worry about a CEL light due to engine managment.

Ok so they helped me out

Turns out sometimes the ground wire cannot be attached to the wire they say and must actually be grounded out to the body.
