sup guys im going to be getting a pakage deal from chris@nolimit soon and i was wondering if any one in the socal area knows how to install cams or has done it before to give me some assitance. i have done evrthing to my car my self and i would really like to do the head my self. the package deal includes... Cosworth Cams with Supertech Dual valve springs, spring seats, valve seals and Titanium retainers, cosworth head studs or arp headstuds, Cometic or cosworth head gasket.... and my mods are ...RNR 50 trim turbo kit, buschur TBE, Buschur 780's, Full ic pipeing, and every other small bolt you could think off... if any one wants to help im willing to pay i just really want to know how to do this my self... thx guys
It is a big job my buddy!
so if you not very mechanically minded i would leave it to some one who knows
and if you dont have the right tools it can turn into a night mare in a hurry!
trust rather take it in, and ask if you can watch to see how it is done!

i am actully very mechaniclly inclined and i know i have the tools... i just don't want to chop my left arm off for payment for that instal ya know. and if i know im sure i will be saving my freinds alot of money down the road as well... cuase i know it won't be cheap. i agree with benj... LETS GET THIS BEAST ON THE ROAD!
are you just doing the cams, or the entire headgasket and valves/springs/cams?
the cams are nearly identical to the evo 8 cams, with a slightly different intake cam.
the head gasket is easy to explain.... remove everything connected to the head, remove head studs, pull head off

I wouldn't touch the head gasket unless it was already bad. Most people replace the stock head gasket with another stock head gasket. Its better to break soft parts than hard parts and the HG can be used as a fuse for the block.
yeah i will be doing this at home and i know i have all the tools... i want to do the whole head myself... i know i can do the cams and im about 80% sure i can tackle all of the other ****... i have to change the head gasket when i put in the studs, thats why im just going with an after market one... there no way i would reuse the stock one.
make sure you get a 14mm hex for the intake cam. Cams are not really a big issue but if your also doing valves and springs i would take the head into a shop for that. all other bolt ons are not to difficult to install
