upgraded valve spring?

So how high do you think i could up my rev with the upgraded springs? getting cosworth cams for sure. i am already shifting at 7900 with the stock setup. how much higher can i go with the upgraded?

you think i can bump it up to 9k rpm redline? cause thats what i want. i know no one done it yet, but theoretically how much higher could we go?

What is the point in pushing the engine to 9K rpm? Do you think you will get that much more out of it? Unless you are trying to stretch 4th gear in the 1/4mi it makes no sence to me but then to each his own.

Later, Ken

Next weak link....Rod Bolts. If you plan on going 9K, save some money for a new bottom end.

I'm not a pro here... but there is only one way to find out. That being, spin it till it fails and find the weak link. Trial and error... there are very few people and or shops that are going to rev the engine like that. I've heard nothing but positive things from this engine and if your wantign to go to 9k. I would venture to guess you are also going to be doing a LOT of maintenece on the engine anyways. If you want a DD that spins to 9k and doesnt need rebuilt all the time... get a motorcycle

lmao, was waiting for that.

Will much power be available at higher RPMs? Coming from a VQ35DE motor, they drop off past 7k rpm making it somewhat pointless to push past that (unless you get a baller Cosworth plenum which only helps, doesn't cure).

What would the curve look like way up there past 8k?
