Hard starting and I smell gas!
Hard starting and I smell gas!
Evom members please help!
After I leave my car sitting for a few hours when I get in the drivers seat I smell gas. I checked the fuel rail and injectors for leaks and found nothing. I took out the back seat and checked the fuel pump gasket and it looked fine. I checked the gas cap gasket it looked fine as well. It has been this way for a week. Just yesterday and today the car was hard to start. It reminded me of a flooded carburator. I think gas might be pooling in the intake mainifold, It just a guess. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
My mods are
20g-lt (green) turbo
injectors
fuel pump
3" TBE with test pipe
stock intake with K&N filter
spraying 100% meth into the upper I/C pipe
Boosting 30 PSI
Tuned on 94 running on 91 had to turn down the boost to 30PSI till I get retuned
The car ran fine with the following mods for quite a while and I am just noticing this now.
I have had a few back fires (pop, pop, pop) and tried to replace my plugs last night but NAPA gave me the wrong ones, the plugs looked about done.
Thanks againg

were the plugs all coated black? I would pull the injectors out and take a good look at them to make double sure that they're not leaking. You can even test the resistance of the injectors to see if there is a bad one.
This was driving me crazy, until I went to top of the meth reservoir today, and it smelled like gas, so I think I have it worked out now, Don’t ask me how I messed it up but I did. It must have been 5:00AM and I probably was a little hung-over, running late to work, still dark out kind of morning. I grabbed the wrong gas can, both clearly marked and topped off the meth reservoir with gas/oil mix. I have no memory of doing this! I took out the meth reservoir and washed it out with soap and water. Then I flushed out the lines and the pump with about 2-3 gallons of water, cleaned the upper I/C pipe and hoses. I put every thing back together and filled it with meth and took if for a few hard pulls. Every thing is working pretty well; I still am hitting one of the safety's probably due to the 91 gas. Need to get it retuned. Living in Guam I guess I'll have to get an E-flash.
Thanks for all suggestions and help! Oh BTW I do feel like a idiot.
