That was it's weight pre-5point-rollbar, with driver. A little weight loss was made with a Buschur rear-diff mount and center engine mount, Lightweight brakes and a little savings on the wheels/tires vs those used when it weighed 3150. The roll-bar weight was approximately the same as the savings, so it's probably SLIGHTLY heavier than 3150 with driver, mayber 3185 or so.

I think people said it was doubtful on straight 93, not that it couldn't be done.

Awesome power and wicked torque! Definitely time for forged internals, are you just doing drop-ins?

It's a basic Buschur engine bay. I'm serious. Everything is 'normal' for a Buschur Racing Stage 4 car. I'm not sure if there's pics, maybe OKIX has some. \

As for the internals. Not just drop ins, it's getting the full 2.0 treatment for block/internals. Head will have stock size valves and just cleanup on passages.
Just enough to get it into the 10.5's I hope.

Nice work. Good to see someone doing it 'right' and going all the way. Good luck with the built motor!

I dont have any pictures of the engine bay. It looks no different from stock except for the buschur intake and up intercooler pipe. I still have the ugly stock head shield on the turbo

Just a quick comment about the torque. I've always believed that torque was important for launching and midrange. If you log the car from launch on the 2-step, you'll see the rpms drop to just below 3500. This is near peak torque for the OKIX car. That means that just out of the gate, the torque plays an integral role in making the car 'move'. After that, horsepower is the name of the game. It's been stated in several threads how .1 second improvement in the 60 ft will yield more return on the et's. So, if you can gain .15 or .2 in the first 60-75 ft, better et's will follow, naturally (unless you shift like OKIX's mama). I've always liked good torque. When it comes to the horsepower, I strive for flat curves, since that allows the drop in rpms to stay 'right in the horsepower' range, with very little drop off between gear changes. Again, just MY philosophy, but it works.

By the way, when you view the video, notice how the car accelerates in midrange of 1st gear (TORQUE!). If you view the first race in the video, OKIX launches and holds the lead on the record setter AMS car until 3rd gear! Just thought that it should be pointed out how the torque helps the runs.

Thanks Rcbowl, hopefully soon he'll be making passes in Tulsa again. I think that's where his best shot at the next level will be made. Good to hear from you.
