speedclubpr, Do they teach math in Puerto Rico? If not, I'll add it up for you:

Stock car weighs 3219 lbs (no fuel)
5 Gallons of fuel is ~ 35 lbs
Driver weighs 130 lbs
Helmet, Harness, logging equip 15 lbs
5 Point Roll Bar/ Plates ~ 75 lbs (conservative)
Alky kit, 2 qts fluid, pump ~ 7 lbs
Total Car Weight BEFORE reductions: 3481 lbs
*forgot OKIX stereo system (yes, I know) speakers, unit, wire add 20 lbs min.

Remember, FULL INTERIOR, BACK SEAT and ALL!! Pics were taken when roll bar was built, not when it was raced, since Back seat HAD TO BE INSTALLED for the race.

Weight reduction: Coil overs saved 60 lbs
Battery saves 25 lbs
Wheels used (15X7 CE 28N and QTP's vs stock setup) saves 10 lbs per 40lbs total
Brakes (Wilwoods) saves 60 lbs (at most)
Center Engine Mount saves 3.6 lbs
Rear Moustache saves 12.6 lbs
Spare removed saves 37 lbs
Misc engine piping/plastic 15 lbs
*forgot 3" exhaust (can't remember reduction, but Buschur Racing has it)

Total Weight Savings: 253 lbs
Total weight - savings = 3227 lbs (I'm sure I missed a little of the reductions, somewhere, but I still have 50-60 lbs to go, before I even reach my quoted 3175-3180. There you have it. Simple math. I hope you understand and aren't too biased to believe that THERE ARE FAST CARS OUTSIDE OF PUERTO RICO. We also have to live by NHRA and sanctioning body rules. I don't think we can get away with using motorcycle slicks on cars, or nitrous in stock classes. This is my rebuttal to your " I don't believe it" comment. Do the math.

One more math puzzler for you. Horsepower, torque, weight, et. Proven dyno numbers, proven et's. Somehow, that equates to the weight posted. Believe it.

This car is by no means the 'norm' for a Green. But it does show what it's potential is. I firmly believe that a daily driver can run 10.5s on the green, IF the motor is built properly. The OKIX engine was MAXED on the stock block when combined with the RPM's needed to run 10.8's. Engine is being built at Buschur's but will remain a 2.0, stock MAF, stock Ecu, same cams, same turbo. Head will have some light work and stock size SS valves and springs. Daniel Buschur will also be Buschwacking the tranny to an Evo VIII 4th gear. Clutch is remaining the same, but we are going ahead and changing it out to a new one, Exedy twin-disc Cerametallic HD unit. With about 35-40 fairly hard passes, no need to take chances when the opportunity to change it exists.
