FPgreen or Full Race 30R twinscroll or other?
I've done some searches and have some mixed results so I'm going to ask and hope that I get some reliable answers from those that have experience with these turbos.
I have a 2006 IX SE with no current mods. I am going to sell my 93 Supra TT and use the money to mod my Evo. Here are my goals for my Evo:
It will be a daily driver.
Drag strip-not that often, just for laughs, not looking for a serious drag car
Auto X, Solo II-this is where I want the car to shine (quick spool up needed)
WHP-goal is 500
1/4 mile times-high 10's (I know I said not a serious drag car but it would be nice if it could see these kind of numbers on a good set of tires.
I know that some of these goals may not mesh (1/4 mile times/hp/and quick spool up?) but it would be great if they did. With the money I make on the Toyota, I should be able to do all supporting mods necessary for either turbo set-up, so please do not take this in consideration in your replies. I do plan on having the engine/transmission built up by BR (will keep the engine 2.0).
I keep seeing great results from people on the Green but I wonder how the Full Race 30R twinscroll kit would compare. I know that Full Race makes a great product. Any other suggestions?
Thank you in advance

most people are gonna say the green you cant beat it on spool up period really for the power you could make but your goal of 10 1/4 mile might be some work 500hp not gonna happen ive never had a 30r twin scroll on a evo but did have a 3076 on my honda 1.8 and it did great made 430 on pump and pulled its *** off after i got done spinning full race makes great products but what are they like almost 7k or something for that set up
id say green cause of the less parts to switch spend the money in the head or something but the 30r would not be a bad choice ( dont ask about my tq in the honda )

no comparison. FULL RACE all the way. u have to also realize that the green is just a turbo, where as the full race is a complete kit.

It's hard to have both fast spool and 500whp. A Green will come close and many have seen mid 120's at the track which is fast the spool up is stock like it's hard to tell a difference and it's only $1800 bucks!!
The FR setup might be real close in spool and be stronger up top, but it's more than twice as expensive too. Why not do a 2.3 if you don't need the rpm for drag? The difference in feel is pretty substantial.

Man just go big or go home. Buy a 35R kit there plenty out there and there all going to make power just your opinion in the end. People make it sound like the 35R spools so slow and so much lag. I dont think if anyone had the chance to drive a car with a 35R they would be going out to get one for themselves once they find out it aint as bad as people make it. Thatll be your best route my opinion. All youll need is a good tune and any other supporting mods of course.

I hope you got my previous message, for road racing and auto x.
Just do a full bolt on car with a 2.3 and a stock turbo setup, it will be good for mid 400 whp and matching the torque and you will get rid of any lag you think you have on the stock turbo.
not to shabby in my eyes especially if you don't want a straight out drag car....

lol i wanted to say that but was scared lol
the green looks to be your man go for it and run maybe even do the 2.3 and green like some said tq and the fast spool of it would make a bad as& auto cross setup and a fun dd for sure

You have to look at several things before making a choice. I know you are using the 500 wheel HP as a form of reference, but you'll need to specify if you want that done on a interia based or load bearing dyno. Then you'll need to figure out what fuel you are going to run, whether it is pump or race gas, and what fuel management as well. If you are going to DD the car, then chances are you will be on pump. If you want to have a race gas map, then you'll need something like the AEM EMS to hold more then one map. For auto cross, I'd go with the smaller turbo, but you will definitely be going to the drag strip for "laughs" and not low ET with high traps.
If you are planning on building the block, keep in mind that a stroker will not last as long as a built 2.0 (I know someone is going to try and argue this), so you will need to consider that as well. The bore x stroke on the strokers will cause more wear at higher RPMs, so unless you baby it around on the street and only go WOT at the track, you should consider a built 2.0 or, if you have the money, a 2.1 destroker.
The main point is to look at your overall budget, factor in things like suspension, wheels/tires, parts, tuning, and keep in mind the long term scenarios before making choices.
