Question FPgreen or Full Race 30R twinscroll or other?

I've done some searches and have some mixed results so I'm going to ask and hope that I get some reliable answers from those that have experience with these turbos.

I have a 2006 IX SE with no current mods. I am going to sell my 93 Supra TT and use the money to mod my Evo. Here are my goals for my Evo:

It will be a daily driver.
Drag strip-not that often, just for laughs, not looking for a serious drag car
Auto X, Solo II-this is where I want the car to shine (quick spool up needed)
WHP-goal is 500
1/4 mile times-high 10's (I know I said not a serious drag car but it would be nice if it could see these kind of numbers on a good set of tires.

I know that some of these goals may not mesh (1/4 mile times/hp/and quick spool up?) but it would be great if they did. With the money I make on the Toyota, I should be able to do all supporting mods necessary for either turbo set-up, so please do not take this in consideration in your replies. I do plan on having the engine/transmission built up by BR (will keep the engine 2.0).

I keep seeing great results from people on the Green but I wonder how the Full Race 30R twinscroll kit would compare. I know that Full Race makes a great product. Any other suggestions?

Thank you in advance

like i said in your other thread, the full race will dominate the green. that twin scroll is insane.

Thanks,
I started this up again in the correct area and just need it taken out of the "advanced" section.

Do you run a 30r twinscroll? Why do you say it will dominate?

Thanks again.

The green has more track-proven results. I don't think anyone's done any back-to-back comparison, but it'd be a safe guess to say that the 30r will probably make more peak power, but it'll make peak torque much later (because it will spool later).

Best bang for your buck for this sized turbo is the green.

if you want a great all around car but also want quick spooling why even go with a turbo kit?

Here is what I would do especially for what you want to do:

2.3 stroker motor
Sheet Metal Intake
Full BOLT ON CAR AFTER THAT WITH SOME METH INJECTION

FUll exhaust
Aggressive Cams
STOCK TURBO
The stock turbo with the right supporting can go up to 24-26 lbs.

The much added torque the 2.3 would give you would be insane

with a full bolt on car, stock turbo on a 9 you should be somewhere in the middle 400 whp with closer to high 400 torque.

you would have no lag at all and your torque will be higher than your hp....

That's what I am going to be doing with my next evo which will start in march of 08'.

Your goals of 500whp and a 10 second quarter mile are a bit much for the Green... it may be possible, but at the expense of low end power, simply to obtain a drag time or horsepower number.

If your primary concern is AutoX, then yes, get the Green and ALL supporting mods. You will be in the low 11's on a good launch and 400-450whp. Get 272 cams, not 280s, and a really good clutch. Other than that, the usual (intake, exhaust, fuel pump, intercooler & piping, 780 injectors, ported exhaust mani & o2 housing) should do the trick

My goal for my green next year is 400/400 on a Dyno Dynamics and and 11.5 quarter mile. Most of my supporting mods are done, with the exception of ported intake manifold and throttle body, plus PPI porting and coating of the hotside. Other than that, I'm ready for next spring when it's time to go Green.

What about Buschurs 3065R Kit ? No one seemed to mention this one. I personally put up a post about which 35R kits but people really put the 3065 kit rated really high. And only at 3000 with a cast manifold and a lil higher if you want to go tube

I was in a similar situation. I sold my 97 Supra TT (For financial and practicality reasons).
I ended up getting an evo a few years later and wanted to get to the same power levels as my BPU Supra. I ended up getting the green because I wanted the low end power and torque. To get the most out of the green you'll need to use a alcohol/meth injection kit or higher octane fuel. This is the struggle I'm currently trying to sort out E85/Race Gas/Aquamist?
