37r question
hmmmm same thing with me...i cant decide over BR HTA 35R or their 37R coz the difference is just a few $$? i know the power of 35R but not familiar yet with BR GT67 aka 37R.(will do research now)
I didnt get to read the entire thread, so please dont beat me if this has already been stated.
In my opinion and experience there really is nothing keeping you from driving a 37R on the street. I have a PT6776R which is what most refer to as a GT37 (im guessing).
I really enjoy it due to a slight hesitation since its easy to drive around since you dont have to really be in boost all the time (same with stock turbo its just throttle position and gear, etc..). Its not as peppy as a stock turbo but as soon as you give it 100% throttle or a quick downshift ive never had any issues with the so called "lag". I make 25 psi in first gear as i please, to give an example of how it responds.
^^^i do have a 2.3L however.

i think that once i build the motor the turbo will be alot more fun cause of the higher rpms but we will see wat happens. i should be getting it this week for sure. then dyno tuning or road tuning.
Hey man, was good chatting with you! I don't want to discourage you from your goals, so assuming you want to make the change, the best way to minimize lag on a 67mm wheel is by using the T3 platform. The T4 67mm kits are what I feel to be RIGHT on the line of street driveable for spool. The T3 kits are considerably more responsive with minimal sacrifice on the top end. You'll be capable of in excess of 700whp were you to decide to build the motor later on. Add that the 67mm wheel inside of an E compressor cover and T3 exhaust side is a SUPER sleeper setup for appearances in your engine bay. I would definitely do a double take on that turbo after watching a 700+whp pull
I'll be happy to discuss again at any length you like to make sure you've got all the information you need before making any decision!

haha What he said

The setup I'd recommend for street use (functional, clean and quiet) would be twin Walbros in a Full Blown twin pump hanger combined with 1250cc injectors, Aeromotive FPR, Aeromotive fuel rail and the lines to make those connections. I've heard of guys running as much as 35 psi on pump and methanol but that will depend on where the knock threshold is on your tune and where your tuner feels is safe. C16 will take as much boost as that turbocharger will make. Here's a picture of the Full Blown hanger which is a direct replacement for the stock plastic hanger.
