37r question

hey guys im looking to get a 37r turbo. right now i have the 35r but i kinda want a little more power. i heard that the t3 37r would spool faster than the t4 37r but would lose in the topend. my question is wat rpm will the 37r hit full boost at? dont want nothing extremely laggy so thats why i was considering the t3

Why don't you max. out the 35R first? Get at least a PP intake, tb, big cams, race front mount, AEM, etc etc good 24psi pump tune and 35psi+ race tune then if your not happy with the ability to go high 9's@145mph+ you should upgrade.

Your turbo isn't even close too maxxed out.

It does depend on setups but, I would say the difference in spoolup would be approx. 500 rpms later. As others have stated, you do have quite a bit more stuff you can do to get the best power out of the 35r you have now though. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a pm about those pieces.

Hey man, was good chatting with you! I don't want to discourage you from your goals, so assuming you want to make the change, the best way to minimize lag on a 67mm wheel is by using the T3 platform. The T4 67mm kits are what I feel to be RIGHT on the line of street driveable for spool. The T3 kits are considerably more responsive with minimal sacrifice on the top end. You'll be capable of in excess of 700whp were you to decide to build the motor later on. Add that the 67mm wheel inside of an E compressor cover and T3 exhaust side is a SUPER sleeper setup for appearances in your engine bay. I would definitely do a double take on that turbo after watching a 700+whp pull

I'll be happy to discuss again at any length you like to make sure you've got all the information you need before making any decision!

Tom

I went with the BR 37r for the end result not what I'm starting with. To really enjoy this turbo you have to rev it. The power will never fall off and just pulls till you shift, and is still pretty streetable. IMOP the clutch is what really makes a car more or less streetable anyways not the turbo. I love it now and I will love it even more when I build the motor next year and an rev it to 9k
