DO NOT GO TO ALLISON MITSU!!! They are complete idiots!!! My GF's friend took her car there and they couldnt find out why it was throwing a CEL! DEE-DEE DEE!!! Hook up a scan tool and read it! Then they told me they had to "dig" for the code, which yet again all you have to do is read the screen on the scanner! The code was for a TPS and i told them to replace the TPS... They did and guess what!? The car works!!!

If you must go there contact Slowtruevo here on the forums first and ask him what to do. Hes Allison's Evo tech.

if the dealer won't make it right, instead of taking it off, throw some JB weld on that bad boy and call it a day.

Here is a pic of a perfectly good manifold with no leaks.

Are you referring to the casting hole between #3 and #4 runner? You're pic is such a close up, it's hard to tell what part of the manifold it is. If this is the same hole you have, you're fine.

thats def not what the whole in his looks like.. it does look like the hole is at the end of a weld

the stock manifold is cast, there are no welds. shadows and angles in a photo can cause things to appear different that what they are. If it's a weld, then there is definitely a problem. The op either needs to get a better picture for us to see, or be able to tell the difference between casting slag and a weld.

wow this thread really scared the crap out of me because after reading the first post i went and checked my car and sure enough i found a hole!

But, thanks to dubbleugly01, and pointing out the fact that there is a hole from the factory i feel much better. however mine still has most of the excess cast, so its only about the size of this guys.

my oem cylinder head is casted too & there is a welded section on the inside near the #1 cam cap!! Yeah, i have seen 3 cylinder heads welded up like mine, when doing cam installs.

the pic is crap, however there looks to be a weld, but jeez, this is aluminum, the weld should be huge. the weld in a pic looks as if it were a tig weld!?

the hole this guy has, at least what it looks like in the pic he posted is right by the throttle cable. If you look at the nice cleam OEM intake manifold a couple of posts above you can see there isn't supposed to be a hole there.

You guys are freaking out for no reason. The hole is in the same place as the clean manifold posted above. It's just a different camera angle.

Look where the TB cable mount threaded holes are in on the photo above, then look again at the OP's photo. See the cast upside 2 to the right of the hole? See it in both photos? Yup.

There are no welds in the OP's manifold, there is just dirt that makes it look that way.
