new car hole in my intake manifold help!!!

To the OP what happened with this did you wind up taking it to the dealer? Was it a defect or was it the factory casting hole in the pices above?

I don't know how I got sucked into this garbage, but that is NOT a hole in the intake manifold. That is a natural gap in between the intake runners. The hole (gap) is between the runners and does NOT go INTO the intake manifold interior.

I am just as retarded for thinking this could actually be true for a few moments.

Yep, there was NOT a hole in the manifold. Once I saw the picture that was posted I decided to test to see if it was actually leaking or not. And it wasn't. That section is just a really thin part of the casting in between cylinders. Sometime they will fall out or are out from the factory. In my case only part broke out. Im just glad there wasn't a hole it sure looked like one and would have explained my ackward idol.

LOL............we need a better pic. I can't even make out where that hole is located in relationship to the OEM manifold. It is cast, but looks like there is a weld there.
