A lot of great suggestions here. With a goal of 650 WHP you will indeed need minimum a 35r and thats maxing it out. A PT67DBB (37R) would be a better choice. Turbos this large require high rpms to make power. I strongly recommend keeping the stock 2.0 displacement and add forged internals.

Judging by the cars you just bought money doesnt seem to be an issue with modding your car

is this something that your really going to do or were you just seeing what it would take if by chance you wanted to?

If you do a GT3582r 650whp will not be a problem if you have the supporting mods. At Turbotrix they had a customer that hit 700whp with this turbo on a IX with a 2.3 stroker motor and something like 600ftlbs.tq. From what I've been reading lately on Evos with GT35r vs. GT37r...the horsepower on the 37r just isnt that much more but the lag is!!!

not sure if you drove one or the other but that claim is not true. not to burst your bubble but the 37r is really a 35r in sheep's clothing. second of all, i dont remember the last positive thing i have heard about TT other than the $1000.00 cam that produced negative power for the IX.... go with a 37R T4 with a smaller hotside.

I am in the middle of the same build. but my goal is hitting 750whp using the same turbo.

If you are on a budget get (certain) parts used. saves LOTS of money.

couple of links to look over the PITA it is to do all the labor yourself to save thousands....

pics of parts etc. etc.
