A lot of great suggestions here. With a goal of 650 WHP you will indeed need minimum a 35r and thats maxing it out. A PT67DBB (37R) would be a better choice. Turbos this large require high rpms to make power. I strongly recommend keeping the stock 2.0 displacement and add forged internals.

If you do a GT3582r 650whp will not be a problem if you have the supporting mods. At Turbotrix they had a customer that hit 700whp with this turbo on a IX with a 2.3 stroker motor and something like 600ftlbs.tq. From what I've been reading lately on Evos with GT35r vs. GT37r...the horsepower on the 37r just isnt that much more but the lag is!!!

I am in the middle of the same build. but my goal is hitting 750whp using the same turbo.
If you are on a budget get (certain) parts used. saves LOTS of money.
