You can end up spending at the max 85$ for the tactrix cable and 25$ if you want to pay for Evo Scan to log your car or you can just go with Mitsulogger or Aktive amtrix for free. Then from there you can read your ROM from your car which is very easy and send it out to the many ppl on here offering there tuning services and they all tune with the same software so atleast you can follow along and be able to fine tune your car on your own afterwards. And you should invest in a wide band o2 gauge and sensor from say Innovative or AEM.

I know you'll be able to, but I wasn't aware the tuner software was out yet.

I'm looking forward to the release with my fingers crossed.

Yeah me too

To the OP, the protuner software that lets shops tune for the AP was supposed to be released last week, so hopefully that will be out in the near future. Then there will be a release of the software for the regular consumer that will let you tune with your laptop as well.

I'm just hoping they come out soon

been said but for the sake of beating a dead horse..Why bother spending 700 for AP when ecuflash is free. Cable is 85 and evoscan is 25.. 700 so you can download some flash. OK but you still have to fine tune that flash to work properly in your car.. Getting the AP is kind of like using the exed (sp?) now..backwards thinking.

Plus estimated 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, live stats, being able to change any map on the go (including back to stock), scanning for codes that were thrown, plus street tuner/protuner maps.

but hey, they're both good so whatever works, it's all personal preference

You really should spend some time reading and researching options out there for the evo. Not so you stop asking questions that have been asked time and time again, so you can be an educated consumer and not be taken to the cleaners.
