cobb EVO access port
The main pros for Accessport will be realtime tuning and maptracing - but those aren't "pros" until the street tuner/pro tuner come out. As of now, it's just a fancy way to change maps and datalog.
EcuFlash > AccessPort. COBB is local, and even many of the owners here are going with custom EcuFlash tunes that cost them 250ish with dyno time, tuning, and the cable... And you can still switch maps just like you can with the AP, you just need a laptop instead of a fancy little gizmo. I know a lot of the employees at COBB, they're a great company, and a year or so ago I would've gone with an AP in a heartbeat (rather than a custom ecu tune ala Dynoflash/TurboTrix/etc) but it took them so long that their 700 dollar product is now replaced by a (imo) better/cheaper product. If you wanna buy the Ferrari just cuz it says Ferrari, go ahead... Otherwise, buy the Evo and kick the Ferrari's ***! (Yay for metaphors!)
My suggestion....like Brian H mentioned...would be first to go to the COBB website and read up on everything the AP can do to be knowledgable.....and the same for ECUflash.....
As of right now...with your mods the AP wouldn't be the best thing for you to get unless you are willing to wait for them to release their Tuning Software. Without that, you have too many mods on the car already and the AP will not be able to account for what is on your car. You wouldn't want to run their stage 2 map with all those mods on.
Once the tuning software is out you would be able to get customed tuned by one of COBBs Pro-Tuners to take advantage of those mods.
There are pros to the AP....if you can get over the cost...that is one of the cons that most everyone has a problem with....which is understandable...ECUflash + a couple other logging softwares provide so much for little money......But just FYI I took the plunge on the AccessPORT because I didn't mind the extra cash and I wanted to have a company I could look to if things every went haywire
Hope that helps
