Worst Experience Ever... Advice???

I had to replace my clutch a little while back so I took it to the Evo guys here in town aka Brotherz Racing. I had known them for a short while, but they had always done a great job(service parts, etc) and I had talked to others who used them and everybody said that they were great... Well less than a week after i got my car back(clutch break in period) The T-Case goes out. Come to find out, they put the wrong fluid in it, and about half of what it called for. My drivetrain warranty is now voided, so I took it back to them and told them to fix it. About a month and a half later i get it back(after all the lies, them claiming it was finished, etc). That night it starts makin a funny noise, so i try and bring it to them the next morning and the whole tranny locks up on me doin about 55mph. I took it to my local dealer and they said whoever worked on the car forgot to put a plug back in and all my tranny fluid had leaked out... The Brotherz denied they had any part in that, and said it was a Mitsu dealer they had taken my car to that messed it up. Everybody is denyin being at fault and now im stuck with buyin a new tranny... What can I do?

Send it to either TRE, Buschur or Shep for a new tranny rebuild. I know both Buschur and Shep have the same base price for new synchros, forks and such at aout 900$. If you want cryo treatment and new 1 and 5th they both run up to about 1500. I think this would be best instaed of buying a whole new tranny and dont bring it back your Brothers Racing for anything if thats how they are going to handle something they F*cked up.

Oh, ****. I'm about to buy an Evo, and as far as I know Brotherz Racing is the only shop in town for 'em. Know of anybody in Hillsborough/Pinellas that's better?

What are you gonna do bring it to another shop to have them replace the OEM tranny ? Just send it out and you'll be happier that you did in the end when you know you have a built tranny you dont have to worry about as long as you check who you bring the car to next time for its routine maintence. Shep does t cases now to so theres no excuse to go oem at all.

Find a new shop, bite the bullet, and don't let them touch your car ever again. Done deal.

You could try small claims court, no attorney needed.

It would probably bo worth the ride to Orlando to go to CFT, but Driven Concepts is closer, and like i said before their guy just did a bad a$$ built Evo IX MR. The Brotherz are still good tuners and such though, i just wouldnt trust em to take anything apart on my car anymore... bad experience(s)=no trust.

eh, im not a big fan of cft, if youre heading to orlando might as well go to ttp. as far as brotherz, i would try to maintain contact with them, and if they refuse to do anything, make a civil post on tamparacing.com saying what they did. that is their stomping ground and they should know that if customers are **** on, it comes back around.

Thats why I learned how to do everything my self. At least if it breaks, I know I am responsible. I had a similiar experience with my old EVO. I dont know if you guys have the BBB there. And if you do, threaten to call them unless they fix your car.

Hopefully that works. It did for me.

I had always trusted the Brotherz before, but then they lied about my T-Case, voided my warranty, called my friend to try and get dirt on me to try and pin the blame on me... I just never expeted it to get this bad.
