I agree with Mrevo2006,your bov should be holding if it is a type s,the actuator should not have been replaced because i believe if it was bad you would have seen some amount of boost creep, the greddy profec II is a great boost controller, thats what we use at my job and I work for a Porsche performance shop so I believe the settings on the ebc is what is keeping you down

Go about it in the right sequence though. Check out the "how-to" section. Then we'll go from there.

Thumbs up Is Doing It!!

OK finally adjusted some numbers and yeah 1,2,3 holds 20.5 and on 4th goes to 21 spike to 22 and keeps it till redline on 20.8 or more but still feeling OK with the other westgate wouldn't do it, now it is working better, but when I stopped and pop the hood the turbo makes some noise like it rattles and rubs!! thank's a lot guys

I usually tune in 5th, it's the strongest load. You're not going to have exactly the same peak numbers in the lower gears as opposed to the higher ones...so that's normal.

Good job on reworking the unit. Take care!

When it got cold I just turned down the set amount and the start boost amount by a few marks.

So you did a boost leak test and builds to 20psi and will go up no further?

Sounds like a leak to me...you need to find out where the leak is coming from and fix it. Could be a vacuum tube, a coupler, a solenoid, a BOV, etc...

What all have you done to troubleshoot the matter and what EBC do you have?

And when you did the leak test, did it hold? What psi did you go up to in your test? Have you checked the MBC itself?

What are the details of your problem...you said it was similiar, how so?

It's hard to assist someone remotely with the car unseen; further elaboration would be helpful.

i had a shop do the test not sure what they took it up to

i changed MBC, and boost gauges to see if that was the problem

what is happening its it only spikes 20-21psi doing a 1/4 mile pass. but when it was dyno tuned it was spiking 30 psi, i know it is suppose to be lower doing the 1/4 but i thought it would still spike 30

First question....

What is your car tuned (and physically configured) to run boost at? I wouldn't think you'd want to hit 30lbs without some kind of cooling injection (water, meth, alky etc).

If you car is hitting 20-21 psi during your runs, and that's what the MBC is set for; than there's nothing wrong with the car.

Has your boost controller been tampered with or adjusted since the dyno? Did it work properly driving home from the dyno?
