That's why the light weight shook is recommended.

I'm running the Amsoil Severe Service gear oil right now. I'm sure it protects the gear teeth well, but shifting is perhaps a bit worse than the Amsoil MTG. Next up will be the Castrol Syntec that I picked up from Mil.Spec. Hoping to put it in soon.

I was running the shockproof lightweight, but aren't all of their shockproof gear oils susceptible to centrifuging of the paraffin (or is it a moly lube that centrifuges)?

I heard there's no issues like that even ams dan,and andrew told me it's the best for the evo tranns when pushing good amounts of power.

have you tried 2 qts of MTG Gl4 and .8 of AMSOIL syncromesh ?
i think you wont see better results with any other coctail from, high rpm shifts, to super cold temps shiftin ect..

for cars making high torque i would be carefull on these mixes you want something to be always in between the gears without shearing to quick.

I've been using Amsoil MTG in my trans with SVG in my TC and Diff. My trans is very notchy, so I'll be giving the Redline MT-85 a try. I'm going tonsee which Redline fluid works in my TC and rear diff and give them a shot. If not it'll be SVG again.

I am actually wondering if you tried MTG, it does much better in the tranny than SVG

i think it was Shep who noticed this, but dont quote me.

Sounds interesting, and I may try it after the Castrol.

I ran MTG for about two years before I tried the SVG. My recollection is that MTG shifted slightly better than the DiaQueen.

When the SVG was fresh, it felt pretty comparable to MTG. Now that the SVG has several thousand miles on it, its been hard to pin down the shifting performance of it. Some days it seems pretty decent, but other days, like today, it seems pretty notchy/grindy. As best as I can tell, when its really cold, it does ok, and when its warm it does ok. Seems like there is some intermediate temperature range where its problematic.

i never tried SVG in the tranny, however in comparing SVG and MTG now it makes sence why it would do ok in the tranny,

these trannys are something else, reality is i think we are dealing with thermal expansions here from the different temp ranges.
