Miss firing in multiple cyclinders

My engine light came on when i banged on 5th, on my 03 evo i used a diagnose tool to read the code and it was miss firing in multiple, i changed my spark plugs and check my coil packs, my buddy said it could be from a boost leak to etc. but recently the engine light went off and came back on? i mean can it be my tune? or what? help i bet this happened to alot of you... just a little help

I just read My CEL yesterday and expected to Just see the P0420 (no cat) code, but a P0300 snuck in there. I'm not too worried about it as I've cleard the codes and it hasn't come back with about 100 miles on the car since.

Just get a creader and live with it. It won't be gone until you rebuild the tranny.
That's what I do.

Its just going to happen man. I just got cams & had the same code come on twice in 2 weeks. I just clear it, no biggie. I notice no misfire at all myself.

probably not a boost leak (but you still might have one).

you did plugs, that would be my first guess.

my second guess is a bad tank of gas.

0300 can be caused by a list of things. First of all start with the basic crap, what did you gap it to and with what kind of tool?

A boost leak may cause a "too rich" code instead.

the gapping tool, all of them gap to spec. 26mm. at first when i didnt gap them my spark plugs would blow out once i hit 20psi of boost, after i gapped it i can go full boost. no problem just 5th gear is a bit of a lag....
