i still have the same problem.....fifth gear...but mine is at cruising speed usually about 80 or so...the car looses power, and you have to let up off the gas and then floor it again.......is yours doing the same???

you torque the spark plugs to 25lbs.

you want to gap them around .026

I just put a mutli disk clutch in and my problem got worst 70+ mph and 3200 rpm + and I would get the p0300 code and misfire just about ever mile. I just got my creader by launch and for the first time in 2 years I have no ses. it does come on but it will get wipe put in a couple mins. I could actually drive the speed limit on the turnpike. Of course this is the first day to have it but so far I am really excited about. it cost about 32 and some change. I have a feeling this is about the best thing until you need to get tranny work. and also the creader gave me a code I have not been told about.

I'm having the same mis-fire issue. It was strange because it just all of a sudden happened and now keeps happening.

I feel the mis-fire, light comes on, and I clear the code. Couple weeks later same thing happens. It is strange....

if all of yours are doing the same thing mine was, its not a misfire. its the input shaft bearing and 5th gear synchronizer. at least im pretty sure thats what it was that they replaced. bone stock at 59k mine was doing the same thing. would start to "miss" while cruising in 5th gear. tried plugs, dealer flash and nothing seemed to help. its actually the transmission bearings making so much harmonic vibrations that the knock sensor it interpreting it as a knock, retarding the timing, and causing the "miss" vibration. tried another mitsu dealer, explained my problem and they said they would take care of it. because its obviously a common problem they didnt cause a fuss about covering it under the powertrain warranty since i was stock. :-) had em throw in the Act and 10.5 flywheel while they were in the process for a small price of an hour labor. haha. but have not seen the cel in 3k after the tranny rebuild. hope this helps.
