Boost Leak PLEASE HELP

Hey guys,

I suspected boost leak and I think I got it. And that might be why I;m running 14.9's all the time. I installed boost gauge and it shows only 10 psi constant (runing from 2K rps to 7K). Help me out and if you can let me know possible leaks, I'm working on it now, so if you could and might know what is the problem - give me a call at (440)552-0773, my name is Alex

I appreciate any help

While the engine is idling check for hissing sounds (vacuum leaks) from any of the hoses. A nice trick that sometimes works is shine alot of light into the engine BAY in a dark garage and then blow cigarette smoke all over. If there is a leak you will see where the smoke is being sucked in. You could also just pressurize the whole intake to 30 psi and you will DEFINITELY be able to hear the leak, but thats more complex.

You can also spray soapy water on areas you suspect having a leak. If its leaking, you'll see bubbles

remove turbo inlet ..

put a cap with an air fitting in it over the cap (all things u can get from home depot)

pressurize, listen for leaks...

some shops have foggers to check...

and check all of the vacuum lines on the back underside of the intake mani, lots of those blow off...
