Gt35r???
Gt35r???
So i ended up talking to this guy today who used to own a pretty modded 2g eclipse and i'd pull hard on him w/the just a tbe and intake untuned....and now has a 93ish prelude and he was telling me that his high 13 or low 14 sec honda put down better numbers than a gt35r evo????? he said on the dyno it put a better 1/4 mile time too.....my thoughts are no way is that true, but i'm curious as to whats the worst gt35r evos' you guys have seen? Do any of you back up what he's saying? He said it was on RSMOTORS dyno in burnsville minneosta the owner/tuner of the shops name is ron, so if any of you have heard of him lets hear some input
thanks guys
thanks guys
I think that guy is just BS ya. Even if he owned a nice 2g eclipse before still means nothing. Was his old eclipse FWD or AWD ? If it was FWD and he turbo'd it you no hes a tool. No offense to you if you know him.
LOL.. Well you should show his what a stock turbo Evo can do. Honestly, what he's saying doesnt make any sense. If he put down better numbers than a 35R Evo then obviously he should be running alot better than a high 13 or low 14. A stock Evo can run better than that.
I would raise the BS flag on that one! If he is running high 13s to low 14s, his car isn't outrunning a stock evo yet, so how would it outrun a GT35r Evo?? As for dyno numbers and 1/4 mile times, the AWD/FWD thing is a big difference. I had a SRT4 before my Evo that was making 315whp and 320wtq on a 50 trim with 91 octane and 15psi. I could only manage a 14.0 @ 105 mph due to traction. My bone stock Evo was probably (est. due to never dynoed it stock) around 230-240whp stock...ran a 13.3@103.5. So in that instance, I ran a slower 1/4 mile with a FWD car with more whp than an AWD car with less hp. AWD equals great traction but lower dyno numbers compared to FWD. There is a good bit lost through the drivetrain of the AWD compared to FWD. Hope that helps you out!!

i know he's a moron.....i was thinking if his honda is putting better numbers down then a gt35r evo he better be running less than 12s not 13s or 14s and another he said was that it hit 115 on the 1/4 which is still pretty fast and that the gt35r evo ran slower than him on the dyno....which in my mind means that evo has a worthless tune
lmao seriously bro come on. thats a complete crock of **** if ive ever heard one. an evo runs around a 13 e.t. in the 1/4 bone stock. with a 35r youre lookin at low 10s and high 9s or even better. hes full of himself it sounds like to me.
