Which is turbo is going to be the best with my current mods on an 03 Evo 8? Injen intake w/ upper and lower IC pipes, Tanabe Concept G Blue exhaust w/ test pipe, HKS 272 cams, AEM ajustable cam gears, AMS fuel rail w/ RC Engineering 750cc injectors, Blitz boost controller, open ecu reflash and dyno tuned putting down 340whp. It's my daily driver so during the week i take it easy and the weekends i'll race. I want something the will put down 400+whp

50 Trim would work Excellent, and not to mention spool quicker than the 35R. If your intensions are to make more than 500awhp, you will need the 35R. Btw get your wallet ready- Boost is a huge addiction!!!!

With a good setup, and a proven 35R kit..you can easily make 460-470whp on pump gas alone. It's been done over and over.

On pump at 24-25 psi it's def. attainable. I understand most people tend to stop around 22-23 psi on there pump tune, but I personally believe they are cutting themselves a little short .

460whp is DEFINATELY attainable on pump gas with a 35R. Stock block/head/etc.

With the smaller turbos your close to maxing them out for 450 awhp. With the 35R at 450 awhp the party is just getting started. Also another thing to consider is a slightly later torque peak is actually easier on the stock pistons and rods. Why buy a turbo now then another later? Stock motor = 28 psi, built bottom end = 42 psi. For cams with this turbo you should be looking at GSC's, FP's, or BC's. The HKS 272 gets the job done, but there are better cams for less money. Last, but not least, get the .63 turbine housing if you want better spool.

thanks for you info. i was looking at the cosworth 272's. yeah i like 450 on pump i dont like using meth or alky and i sure dont want to max out a turbo and stay there. i think lag is overrated. brake boosting or downshift to the right gear when racing. i actually like a little bit of lag instead of the turbo always wanting to go its pretty annoying.
