gt35 on stock block?
ok i want to put a gt35r on my evo without building the motor how much can the motor hold, and what can i put out on pump gas(maybe alky) safely?

if you are positive about using Meth i say go for it! if you only plan on using pump gas you will be hatin life with the lag... i had a 35r on my old IX and the lag was terrible, the big pay off of 375WHP+ is kind of lack luster with the lack of torque at all Rpm ranges on pump

you yourself questioned whether that was reliable and a smart decision
If you plan on running mainly pump gas on the street with stock block, the 35R imo is not a good turbo choice. If all you want is a peak number, fine, but if you want decent driveability, and it is a DD, there are better/smaller turbo choices out there. I like area under the curve more than a peak number. Just my two cents. Trending Topics
I say get any turbo kit that you would like useing the 35R or 30R . Injectors 880cc, and a dyno tune for 93oct.

catback
ic with uicp and bov
and a clutch non ACT lol.
head studs a must.
and if you want but not really needed some cams.
With that you should see anywhere from 350-540 depending on turbo, fuel and psi

73,000 on the clock, 525hp with 35r. If you want good power and dont want to worry about reliability of the motor, go with the FPGreen, 272's, ported intake/exhaust, and a good tune.
My EVO made 599whp at 30psi on our 35R kit on stock internals with only ARP head studs and rod bolts inside the motor. We had another customer make 669whp with the same kit and some nitrous on the stock internals. The EVO 4g63 is very stout and will take a lot with a knock free tune, but running them this hard elminates most of the room for error. If you were to have an erroneous knock episode at that power level you're far better with ugpraded rods/pistons that will take a little bit more abuse, but a massive detonation session is likely going to pop the motor either way. Upgraded internals offer a little more wiggle room but don't make the motor bullet proof. Hope that helps! If you have other questions that I could answer just let me know
