Stock motor = 28 psi, built bottom end = 42 psi. For cams with this turbo you should be looking at GSC's, FP's, or BC's. The HKS 272 gets the job done, but there are better cams for less money. Last, but not least, get the .63 turbine housing if you want better spool.
COuldnt put it any better, i might be putting my gt35r on my car soon i havent made my mind up yet......

Absolutely not. On the stock motor I made 460whp on a low reading dyno on only 21 pounds. I have ems but the motor is completely stock.

Lag is def not overrated.

35r on a stock block would be a nightmare on the street. horrible.

I drove a HTA35R all weekend this past weekend. with the .82 housing. built motor. rev to 9k. right now he is only tuned on 93 oct at 24 lbs. though.

hated it. i could never drive that car everyday.

i am sure at 40 lbs once he gets his AEM and double pumper, COP etc. the car will make 600 plus on c16.

but the lag will not go away.

so def drive a 35r all around town...on the highway etc. and see if you like it before you get the big turbo.

it hits fill boost at like 6k...eeeeew...

um no...it is a HTA35r .82 housing..4800 full boost what? no way. maybe on a 3076r.

5500 tops on a 35r on the street on the dyno it was worse..

i drove the car and saw the graphs...

The .82 a/r housing is his problem. However, he personally may enjoy having insane top end. I currently run the Peakboost GT35R setup with a .63 a/r housing and see full boost at 4750. I sacraficed a little top end for better spool characteristics, but to each there own .

Gamebred26 - I actually just pulled my dyno graph out to confirm, and full boost is actually before 4750. It looks to be right around 4625-4675. This is a stock bottom end, Peakboost GT35R .63 a/r kit, with your "normal" supportings mods, including Brain Crower 272's cams. 23-24 psi on pump gas.

Yes, I am running an AMS intercooler. However, I have not made a solid pass at the track yet. My shakedown pass with this current setup, I let out going from 1st to 2nd gear..and with a crappy 2.0 60ft it went an 11.93 at 123mph.

Spooling18: so if I wanna get an HTA35R on a stock motor and stock heads, I should go with a .63 a/f housing for better spool? right?

David Buschur swears by it. Definately go for .63 There was a thread on it. He said as far as top end between .82 and .63 was negligable
