Like a lot of guys on here I had an ACT Street disc and pressure plate on my VIII. Best mod I have done on any car! Really holds the power with minimal increase in pedal effort. Everyone seems to like this clutch a lot. You should be able to get it for around $1000 installed...

Im telling you man everyone i know who has a ACT has some kind of issue. I.E. High Rpm Lock outs. Its worth the money to get the exedy twin. I have one and im telling it it loves the high rpm shifts with alot of current launches on the car and it still bites HARD. If the ACT is all you can get it will most deffinitly not be a BAD clutch just dont be suprised when you have a lock out issue.

Really? I know lots of people who have this clutch with zero issues. Most have between 325-400 whp. Never had a problem. Did you get your car tuned @Topspeed in GA, cuz they are the shop that recomended and sold me the ACT.

You really shouldn't need a flywheel. Depending on mileage and abuse a resurfaced stocker should be fine. But I would get a flywheel from the same manufacturer your clutch is Exedy, ACT, Cusco, ect...

PS - lock out was easily corrected by adjusting the clutch.

200+ drag passes and hundreds of miles on road courses = 55k plus on my ACT clutch (with resurfaced OE flywheel).

Come spring/summer I am looking at this clutch (Fidanza 3.2):

Priced about the same as the ACT. (Only changing my ACT because of the mileage and use it sees).
