new clutch - grinding when turning

Just got a new clutch installed today from trusted mech's. Clutch looks like its holding up fine. (Normally chatter and whines as usual). When I try to make a left r rght turn, I start to hear grinding coming from the driverside wheel weld. I thought it was my brakes going bad because I also felt the brake pedal feel real weak. So I took a look at the brake pads and here they are below. Has anyone experienced this after an install?

So you think the brake pads were fine? How do I tell where I need to pull or push the brake dust shield?

Yes its common when mechanics are not careful.

Test the shield for clearance first. Pull it towards the rotor and feel how close it is to the rotor. If its less than 1/8" you will need to bend it away from the rotor. Test the shield all the way around. Keep in mind as you bend one section of the shield, another section might get closer to the rotor. Keep working the shield till you have proper clearance.

I did not read the entire first post. If you are having brake problems, there is another issue going on.

I would suggest you get your car back to your mechanic to see what was messed up.

I have pulled the brake shields a little here and there and it made the grinding almost go away. So they are definetly rubbing against the rotor. It figures because they will need to access the trans by removing the axel on the driverside and he probably pushed up on it. Im still going by there tomorrow though. Its completly dark right now and I would need to measure the distance from the shield to the rotor tomorrow. But so far it looks like that was really it.
