Last time at the track when i launched my car at 6200rpm on the 245/40-18 Falkens (C16, probably 28psi) this is what i got...

Too much wheel hop cut the one axlw in half (see pics) and "dislocated" the other one from the differential!!! Fixed it and now i did some extra tricks to eliminatethe wheel hop...

It sounds like my tranny in my civic, lanched it hard on slicks and blew the diff in the tranny out through the bottom of the tranny case.

From what I've gathered the loudest noises tend to come from differentials and transfer cases.

Mitsu has had a record for ****ty transfer cases. Aside from that, everything else tends to be pretty good. The problem is people who aren't used to AWD cars launching them incorrectly thus destroying the drivetrains.

To the OP, I think you tranny is done. Since you said there were metal pieces in the oil.

To the rest of people here, PREDLOAD your drive train when you launch your car.

Sorry to hear about this

I replied to your thread on NorcalEvo.

How'd the TC fluid look? Sounds like something in the Trans is toast! Too bad that 6spd f***er is heavy too lol.

On a side note nice to hear Casey's Evo is doin well

LMK if i can help you guys out in any way.
