Drivetrain acting WEIRD!!!

Ok here's the deal. My TC has been whining for a little while. But now the car acts like the clutch is slipping in 1-2 gear...IE high rpms with no pull in the car. but is fine 3-5th gear. The clutch is brand new just went through break in maybe 700 miles. I have no ideas...maybe the TC finally just went completely?

Any ideas?

Thanks
Seth

NO I don;t think it is the clutch slippingm since it runs normal in 3 4 5th gear. I don;t think wheel spin either since it is acting like this on low acceleration on the street...

well you can test the clutch by puttin it in 5th around 2k and flooring it. if the rpm's go up but the car doesnt go anywhere really then it could be your clutch. thats just to check. im not saying it is your clutch. good luck

it doesn't sound like a clutch issue at all if it's holding fine in 3rd-5th. More of a tuning issue possibly, or a minor boost/vacuum leak that is masked by the extra engine load in taller gears.

Talked to John Sheperd. He said that my T-case finally went most likely....so looks like I need a new t-case for sure....damn

How hard is it to install a t-case?

Well I managed to do my clutch, but I think it may be worth the 400 in labor the shop here wants...
