All depends on which mustang dyno you are referring too. I've had my previous vehicle tuned on a three seperate mustang dynos. One had stock whp numbers at 250whp, the next was 230whp stock and the last was 210 whp stock. There not all the same. I will agree with you though DLL is more forgiving than a mustang dyno . Someday I'll get my car to a real dyno. Until then I have no other data, other than DLL.

That's a good reference point, but what parameters did you use in DLL? You can make a DLL plot read low or high, depending on those parameters

Thanks for the info though

Yup, and the road, wind, weather, etc. My point exactly.

Is everyone using DLL with the same settings? Doubtful. On the same road? Impossible. So comparing DLL online is useless, like comparing different dynos online.

Before/after on the same dyno with the same settings, yes that works. Same goes with DLL.

Overlays in DLL with the same settings, with the same car and close to the same road are a better use of the tool.

Gotcha! Good points about DLL use above too! Your mustang dyno is pretty conservative.

That's why the thread has little value.

With baseline or stock evo numbers then it is semi-useful. However 99% of the posts on Evom I see do not. oh well.

I think it has great value for us with the green. Not the HP/TORQ numbers, but the part combinations being used by other setups. At least that what I like about the thread

A while back I made 400 whp on 93 oct @ 22-23 psi. We were having some issues w/a bad CPS & possibly a week battery, so I'm not quite sure of my torque numbers, but I'd wager that they are higher then the whp #'s. I also found out that I had a cracked plate on my carbonetics twin carbon clutch and some grinding in my tranny. Since that was repaired & my tranny rebuilt, I've added a
3" DP to my 3.5" straight thru exhaust and re tuned it due to my AFR's leaning out slightly. The car pulls hard all the way around, runs like a raped ape! When I was up on The Dragon, I raced my friends 2005 911 turbo S AWD, he was putting down 500 whp w/ his current mods. from a roll, in 1st & 2nd we were neck & neck, but in 3rd he started pulling 3 cars very quickly, 4th he was 5-7 cars. however, up on The Dragon, I dominated by 3-5 cars easily, I could run away from him coming out of those tight twisty decreasing radius's. The quick spool of the FP Green was incredible, he couldn't believe it. I don't think another Evo could touch my car on that road unless he had a green, as the bigger turbo's spool so differently, my full spool was hitting right around 3700-3800 rpms, I was spiking higher up there due to the cooler air, around 24-25.
My mods are as follows:
FP Green w/HP WGA
BC 280/272 cams
ARP HS
BR intake & UICP w/ Tial 40mm BOV
Home made cold air box
eBay 32x3x 12 w/ 3" inlt & outlet FMIC
Custom LICP
3.5" straight thru exhaust w/ Magnaflow 4" straight thru muffler
MR tubular headers, wrapped
MR 3" DP
Sun hyper ignition booster
BRP8ES plugs
riding on 17 x 8 Enkei wheels (16.5 lbs)
toyo RA1's 235/40/17
Full ROBISPEC KW Clubsport suspension, sway bar, bushings etc.
corner weighted & set for aggressive street & track
3135 lbs w/ 1/2 tank of fuel

Remember, the dyno is only a tuning tool, it does not give an accurate estimate of what the car will do on the road or track, at least not on the road course. HP numbers only give you one part of the equation.

These are truly impressive numbers for a Green equipped VIII. Was this on straight 91 0ctane(R+M/2), Razorlab?
