If you noticed the pump goes after the cooler. Tilton makes you do this to maximize life of the pump. I am going to install a temp guage down the road just to see were the temps are.

I don't think the tranny goes that much over 265 Degrees. Great pump, specs according to the manufacturer:

- 1-2 gpm flow rate
- 60 psi (max) working pressure
- 12-volt DC
- 265¾F (constant) temperature capacity
- Self-priming up to 8ft. vertical height
- Internal bypass valve
- Pump head can be rotated 180 degrees

Very nice! I've been looking to do something like this. Quick question, are those expanding rubber pieces from the OE license plate brackets?

GJ btw

I purchased those expanding rubber pieces from my local Hardware store. They are a common item.

Those expanding rubber pieces are commonly used to hold Truck bug guards on. Simply hold the bug shield in place with the hood open, push the rubber piece through the bug guard into a factory hole in the hood and tighten the screw. You have to put a good amount of pressure when you tighten them or they'll pop out of the hole before they fully expand.

Kudos on your design. I can't wait to see the results. Does anyone have a temperature reading from a 6-speed tranny w/out a cooler to use as a go by?

we are doing something similar, but in a way to add more capacity, using the same pump though.

very nicely done.
