Quote: Great project!!

I would like to build a setup like this but I have a couple questions

1) Are you using the stock fill and drain positions on the gear box to connect the hoses?

Yes I used the drain and fill plug.

2) What size\thread pitch\part number fittings are you using to connect the hose to the gearbox? 18mm/1.5 to 8an adapter straight (part # 9919EFKERL) x2

3) Once everything is connected how do you fill the gearbox\system with oil?

Undo the fill hose and fill as normal. Once I have some fluid in the tranny I run the pump, turn off then continue to fill. Holds about 1 extra quart.

4) It would be a nice touch to add a reservoir, like the power steering has, any idea where this would be install (eg. the oil lines before the cooler, or after the cooler)?
Never crossed my mind.

5) What size cooler are you using?
Fluid Cooler, Engine/Transmission/Differential, Plate-Type, Aluminum, Black, 4 in. x 11 in. x 2 in., Each

excellent project. I was thinking of doing this but I dont have access to the fabrication equip. BUT! as soon as you can reproduce this, I am very anxious to purchase this kit from you, I see that you are busy with a TA car, but as soon as you can, I would be ready to buy.. Thanks

there is a new 350 degree pump available... more durable than the older which was rated to 200ish i believe.

Damn that is sick. I wonder if I should worry about a tranny cooler if I only track 2-4 times max a year. I think I would be interested if this was produced... Hope CBRD is making one. His radiator is bad ***.

OP, have you been able to install that temp gauge on the tranny and how is the pump holding up so far, how were you able to tell that it was working when you first tested it?

Thanks!

Bump to see if anyone knows where to find one of these. Right now, i'm looking at this pump:

unless I find a better one, that is. I've decided on this cooler, since it's already -8:

then, i have a friend that makes A/C & hydraulic lines that is willing to make me the lines i need with -8 female fittings. BAM.

I already have the -an fitting for the fill hole, just have to get one for the drain. It's easy enough, i should have started this project long ago.
