Ecu Reflash & Keys Microchip
I have thought about getting a re-flash but I have one question if I get a re-flash will my keys no longer work. As far as the Microchip in the keys that suppossedly wont let it run without it and I dont want to have to spend a day at the dealership havien them reprogram my keys as well as taking a chance for them to see my mods.
Also if I go with the Xeced piggy back unit will it also give me the same problem????

I am 99.9% sure tt's not in the ECU itself but in the ETACS module. ETACS is the keyless entry and lighting control module.
Even if it's not, the reciever just sends a signal to the ECU to say the key is good.

This was emailed to me by TANDERS who lives in singapore:
"Hi David,
Oh, I forgot to mention that as well. The Rally competition ECU is the one that you should avoid because you car wouldn't start coz of the immobilizer. But for the Sports ECU (street version), there is no problem with the immobilizer. The car will start with the new ECU. That's the other reason why I got the Ralliart Sports ECU, since when I bought it before, there are no other ECU in the market at that time that can fix the immobilizer problem.

The outcome seems to be different with some ECUS, Check with your ECU maker to see if its compatible!!!
