Stock Evo Boost Gauge reads low?

Well mY Evo Feels alright, perfect actually, and has beaten many cars, but ever since I got the Mitsu Boost gauge kit, it only shows 1.22-1.25 Bar and then drops to 1.2 bar, maybe it does spike SLIGHTLY higher but not really.

Is it the gauge? Could my BOV be leaking? Why such low boost? Car was always like this, should I up the boost with a MBC?

Anybody else have lower boost? Is this normal?

Most I've gotten was 1.3 bar in 5th gear. Every other gear has given me 1.24-1.25 ish. I don't know what's up either.

Good, I am not alone, I mean I am justas fast as a LS1, I raced one and was right with him, Hey, your car is Red, so is mine, maybe it is the Wind viscosity of the red paint that manifests in the exhaust manifold that causes the Wastgate to pull negative G's untill boost drops prematurely?

AFAIK, your boost gauge is reading boost from the intake manifold which would be affected by the FMIC's pressure drop. If you read the boost from the turbo's compressor outlet it probably is what you expect.

I don't have my evo yet so i'm just guessing.

I'm getting a spike to 1.34 (Greddy gauge) and goes down to 1.3 and then to 1.12 at red line. The T is tapped off the BOV.

That's about 17.7-18.5psi. Sound's about right. Remember the guage is in KG/CM^2 which makes the number lower. 19.5 psi turbo minus the pressure drop from the intercooler.

Wait they rate the boost based on the turbo instead of the MAP.

What???? this makes no sence. I'm making 19.0548psi in 3rd peak. On a hot day. I think I will be peaking more when winter rolls around.
