very simple. porter broke into water jacket porting exhaust. you cant give a 4g63 head to someone who hasn't ported one before. the water jackets are very close on the exhaust side.

+1 I saw that the other day on a VIII. I could not believe it when I saw that. We took the head out and noticed the mistake.

To the OP.... Any updates on this issue?
