How much someone would pay for drop in long block. It would come fully assembled with every sensor from valve cover to oil pan. Engine is sitting on engien stand. I am thinking about selling the evo but wouldnt sell it unless I sold the engine 1st.

No idea on price but it seems like a solid set-up. I'd do some checking on JAM before pulling the trigger though.

I would say it depends on how many miles is on the build and how much it's been beaten on... or has it been beaten on at all if it's sitting on a stand? If it hasn't been beaten on AT ALL and it's sitting on a stand then there is the matter of who built it? How many of these 2.4L LR's have they built and do they have any sort of street cred? Furthermore if it hasn't been beaten on at all then how does the buyer know if everything was done correctly if the motor has never been run thru hot and cold cycles to see if everything is in order?

I don't think anyone who has ever built an Evo motor or any motor would truly buy a motor and "drop it" into their car without going thru it thoroughly to verify the build. You know... inspecting the gaskets and seals for those stupid leaks that always show up eventually, how do the bearings look, was everything torqued to spec, stuff like that.

Looking at the parts list its a sexy combination of goodness for sure so in the end of the day supply and demand are going to be the factors that ultimately determine the price. Rarely does anyone in here want to pay what anything is worth so either way you're going to take a hit in some capacity.
